Here is where you can see and read about events that cadets from around the County took part in during the last few months of 2009.
Ex Cadet CSM Max Sloper from 15 Platoon Theale, 'Passed Out’ from the Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth on 10th December 2009. Max, now a Midshipman, commences training as a Fleet Air Arm Pilot.
Cadets and Adults from 16 Platoon Thatcham and 17 Platoon Whitley celebrated Christmas 2009 with a dinner at the Weekend Training Centre, Bramley.

On Thursday 26th November, Cadets from across the County were rewarded for their participation at Sports & Shooting and their achievements in the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) Syllabus. The Commandant, Colonel Peter Webb, presented certificates & County Colours to those cadets who had taken part in the South East Region Swimming Championships and to those who had particpated in the 4 Division Cadet Skill at Arms Shooting Competition. He also presented certificates to cadets who had completed their APC One, Three and Four Star Levels.
There were also three other special awards, the first one being The Falkland/Lewis Trophy, which is awarded to the cadet who achieves the Top Published Score at the Cadet Skill at Arms Meeting and this year was presented to Cdt L/Cpl Caitlin Green of 8 Platoon Reading. Caitlin has qualified for the GB Junior Rifle Squad and in August this year shot in an International Competition. She will again be representing Great Britain in Aldenberg, Germany in May 2010.
The second special award was presented to Cdt Sgt Maj James Steel of 6 Platoon Woodley. James had recently successfully completed the Master Cadet Course at the Cadet Training Centre, Frimley Park, for this Colonel Webb appointed him as a Master Cadet. James was also appointed Cadet Company Sergeant Major for 'C' Company.

The weekend of 26th & 27th September saw 2Lt Brett Cave lead his band of "Merry Marksmen" to take part in the CADSAM 2009 Shooting Competition. Whilst there were a few less prizes for Berkshire ACF this year, our gallant shooters beat all others to win the Falling Plate Trophy, the first time in 19 years this element of the competition has been won by an Army Cadet Force unit. Our final results can be seen here. Congratulations go to all the cadets who took part and thanks & appreciation go to the adults who encouraged and supported the cadets over the weekend.
