Easter 2011 - Basic Level Training Camp
Easter 2011 saw a change to the annual Company Easter Camps by holding a Basic Level Training Camp at the Bramley Weekend Training Centre. This camp was for those who had only recently joined the Army Cadet Force along with those who required their Basic Level Army Proficiency Qualification. Forty cadets from across the County took part in lessons ranging from Care of Uniform to Camouflage & Concealment along with Drill & Turnout to the Country Code. At the end of this they were all tested on the knowledge they had gained which resulted in 19 cadets achieving the Basic Level Qualification and will be eligible to go to Annual Camp providing they are 13 years of age or over on the first day of camp which will be 31st July.

The weather was absolutely perfect and was coupled with the excellent service provided by our Catering Team who kept everyone well fed and watered. A very big "Thankyou" goes to all the staff that gave up their Easter holiday break to help make this a successful weekend.

To all the cadets that attended "WELL DONE", so now why not tell all your friends who are not cadets about the weekend and maybe get them to go along to a Detachment Parade Night, you never know they may enjoy it and join the ACF.

Easter 2011 - Fieldcraft Training Camp
Whilst the Basic Level Camp was taking place, another camp was being run on the Bramley Training Area. This camp was for those cadets who needed the Fieldcraft Element at One or Two Star Level. There were no luxurious bunk beds in the Weekend Training Centre for these cadets and adults as the whole weekend was spent in the great outdoors, camping out overnight under the stars!! Thankfully, it didn't rain although one night did see quite a bit of lightning.

Again, a very big "Thankyou" goes to all the staff who gave up their weekend to help make this a successful camp and to all the cadets that attended "Very Well Done"!

Taking a well deserved break!!
