Annual Camp 2010
Sunday 1st August saw cadets and adults all head off to Kent for their annual two weeks of a fun filled, action packed Annual Camp at St. Martin's Plain Camp, Folkestone. The weather for the most part was extremely kind to us bringing some lovely sunny days, there was some rain but this did not deter the enthusiasm of the cadets, nor did it interrupt the training programme.
Even the local sea gulls enjoyed themselves especially sampling a haversack ration and one in particular who helped himself to a Cadre Nominal Roll from inside a building!! Was he checking to see if Cdt C Gull was on parade??
Our visitors to camp this year included Brigadier M A Aris CBE, HM Dupty Lord Lieutenant for the Royal County of Berkshire; Colonel W J O'Leary, Deputy Commander 145 Brigade; Colonel S J Oxlade MBE and Lt Colonel P G B Ellis QGM*, Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive SE Reserve Forces' & Cadets' Association respectively; Colonel R B Paddison MBE, Honorary Colonel Berkshire ACF; Colonel C H Ainley TD, Chairman Berkshire Tri-Service Cadet Committee; Colonel B D Jefferies MBE and Colonel B C Tearle, both former Commandants Berkshire ACF; Colonel C Riley, Manager Public Services CVQO; and finally, Mrs Helen Barrow and Mr Stuart Turkington, Director & Photographer DBA Communications. We believe all our visitors enjoyed themselves.
The following picture links will take you to view a selection of photographs of some of the different activities that were slotted into a very busy Camp Training Programme.
