A Cadet's Shooting Success
Cdt LCpl Caitlin Green from 8 Platoon Reading, enrolled as a cadet in January 2008. Prior to this, she had never fired a rifle but was very soon spotted as a talented shot. So far she has been awarded the 2010 Cadet 100 Smallbore Badge (top 100 nationally), has scored a possible 100 ex 100 in our County Cadet Force Inter-Company Smallbore Match and achieved Overall Champion shot at the 4 Division Target Rifle Competition 2011.

Attached is an article written by LCpl Green about her recent trip to South Africa as a member of the Great Britain Junior Shooting Team.

Officers' Mess Dinner Night
Although our Commandant, Colonel Peter Webb doesn't actually 'walk out the door' until the end of January 2012, he said "Farewell" to the Officers and many guests at the Officers' Mess Dinner Night held at Hazebrouck Mess, Arborfield on Saturday 22nd October.

The pictures below are of the Officers, their partners and the beautiful clock that Colonel Webb presented to The Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force, which stands proudly on the mantleshelf in the Ante-Room at our Weekend Training Centre, Bramley.

More Farewells......
It was the "End of an Era" as Major Guy Alway and Captain Peter Jeanes MBE finally hung up their boots at the Officers' Mess Dinner Night. They both said "Farewell" to their very long ACF service as between them they have over a hundred years service, each having been awarded 5 Clasps to the Cadet Forces Medal.... a remarkable achievement!

The pictures below are of the framed banner which they presented to The Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force and hangs proudly in the entrance hallway to our Weekend Training Centre at Bramley.
